Preclinical MRI Solution Comparison Phantom
3D printing allows for the creation of a variety of phantoms using MR-compatible materials. This phantom, designed for preclinical magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), is meant to be loaded with standard micro-centrifuge tubes. Each tube can be loaded with a different solution or solutions with different concentrations of agents. This provides a stable and easy-to-use platform for the comparison of solutions. This has many applications, including quantitative measurement of MR contrast agent relaxation properties and the comparison of labeled agents (e.g. C-13 labeled hyperpolarized compounds).
Numerous design features make loading, unloading, and scanning this phantom quick and easy. For more information contact us directly or check out the publication featuring this phantom: Cox and Ludwig et al. 2018. BPEX. |
