PET/SPECT Partial Volume Correction (PVC) Phantoms
Phantech's PET/SPECT Partial Volume Correction (PVC) Phantoms are designed to correct for partial volume effects (PVEs) on clinical or preclinical systems. Designed with one continuous channel connecting numerous precise spherical or ellipsoidal volumes, these PVC phantoms allow for the easy and automated generation of a recovery coefficient (RC)-based PVC curve. Our PVC phantoms come standard with a larger internal reference calibration void that is 100% recovered, which does not depend on the accuracy of another calibration device like other RC-based methods, and each volume is normalized to this reference void. This internal calibration method allows for a more robust and standardized method of generating RC curves. Our PVC phantoms also contain more measurements points than any other PVC phantoms on the market. The combination of our unique design features is why our PVC phantoms yield the most accurate RC curves and, therefore, partial volume corrected data.

Options include a full 360 ̊ or half 180 ̊ sleeve for a "warm" spill-in compartment, a second channel of "micro-spheres", and additional ellipsoidal PVC phantoms with varying aspect ratios (1:2 & 2:3) to create a comprehensive 3D recovery coefficient correction curve, plotting signal intensity as a function of both volume size and shape.

NEMA NU 4-2008 Preclinical PET/SPECT/CT Phantom
The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) published a standard phantom (NEMA NU 4-2008) intended to characterize and optimize the performance of preclinical positron emission tomography (PET) systems, but the phantom is also used to evaluate contrast-enhanced micro-PET/CT, multiple-pinhole micro-SPECT, and high-resolution animal scans using clinical PET/CT systems.

PET/SPECT/CT Breast Insert Phantom
The phantom to the right is a custom phantom. Designed to be placed within a breast phantom, this insert allows the investigation of the limits of detection using PET & SPECT imaging. This phantom features a single fluid path connecting twelve small spherical voids that are separated into three identical chains. The chains are arranged in an equilateral triangle. The inlet and outlet ports were tapped to allow for the addition of Luer Lock fittings for easy filling.
