Resolution (Derenzo) PhantomsPhantech has several different Derenzo patterns for preclinical PET applications. Each one features our patented linear flow technology (Patent US9625584B1) that makes filling a breeze, prevents bubbles, and reduces the amount of radiation required to fill the hole pattern. This results in a safer phantom that produces higher quality images. We have several standard hole patterns with holes ranging from 0.7 mm to 2.5 mm. We can also create custom patterns if the standard options do not quite fit your individual needs.

Uniformity PhantomsPhantech uniformity phantoms are designed to perform quality control and calibration on field uniformity, normalization and quantification calibration of PET scanners. They are constructed to ensure a perfectly homogenous concentration by preventing air bubbles and sticking of radioactivity to the interior surface. Configured in two standard sizes, these uniformity phantoms will allow one to customize protocols and calibrations in order to yield the highest quantitative accuracy for each scanning condition.

Partial Volume Correction (PVC) PhantomsDesigned for signal recovery of small lesions for preclinical PET imaging systems, Phantech PVC phantoms are designed with one continuous channel connecting numerous precise spherical or ellipsoidal volumes, these PVC phantoms allow for the easy and automated generation of a recovery coefficient (RC)-based PVC curve. Our PVC phantoms are available with several different outside diameters (27mm, 34mm, and 49mm) and sphere sizes to accommodate different bore sizes and scanner specifications. Each PVC phantom also features a separate fillable "warm" region to simulate background tissues.

NEMA NU-4 2008 Standard PhantomsPhantech has economical phantoms that adhere to the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standards. Assembled with three main pieces containing three fillable regions, the NEMA NU4-2008 (NU4IQ) allows the assessment of PET scanner image quality (IQ).

Scatter PhantomsPhantech offers mouse and rat scatter phantoms that are composed of tissue-equivalent scattering material (High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)). These scatter phantoms will allow you to characterize and optimize the performance of your scanner according to the NEMA NU4 2008 Section 4 “Scatter Fraction, Count Losses and Random Coincidence Measurements," allowing the measurement of the Noise Equivalent Count Rate (NECR). With the scatter phantoms, you will learn valuable information to make the best use of your PET scanner such as the peak injected activity beyond which noise will increase more rapidly than the signal itself. For PET system manufacturers, you will be able to use the scatter phantom to optimize count rate performance, scatter fraction and compare with other systems in the market.
